The long summer holidays are rapidly approaching in the northern hemisphere and the CLOCK community will be launching a special ‘holiday’ version pilot of our CLOCK Explorer badge, a digital credential for children, young people and adults at any age.

CLOCK Explorer has a values-based curriculum and a mission to ‘help you to discover something you love doing’.
CLOCK advocates ‘whole family learning’ from great grandparents, aunties, uncles, cousins to grandchildren as well as social networks and peer-to-peer learning with friends, neighbours, faith groups and informal and organised playschemes!
The CLOCK Explorer manual with online folders together with all relevant local public, online and family resources freely available to you will support you to make the journey to ‘discover and explore a new practice’ over the holiday period.
A ‘practice is something you do in a non-formal community’ in a specific setting such as:
- Craft, making something from knitting, baking, toy-making, jewellery to wood carving etc.
- Upcycling maintaining and decorating old equipment e.g upcycling, reupholstering a chair or sofa, mending and decorating a bicycle or scooter, etc.
- A cultural collective tradition participating in dance, circus, theatre, playing a musical instrument or singing with others etc.
- Beginning a sport from surfing, skateboarding, running, darts, trail-walking to cricket, etc.
- Creative practice such as doing art, manga graphics, fashion design, songwriting, sound design, music, video, beat-making, game development, screenwriting, creative writing, poetry.
- Any other ‘community of practice’ activity that positively and safely engages the heart, head and hands of yourself and your family members and/or friends.
The CLOCK EXPLORER summer programme is available for every 3-5 participants for £20 per person between 1-31st August 2025. If you or someone you know wants to participate in this scheme please email an informal expression of interest giving the number of participants, your region, country and email address to samclarke@clockyourskills.com before Friday 1st August 2025 or book directly here.
We look forward to hearing from you.
Thanks!
