Behind every thriving global community is a network of dedicated individuals driving innovation and pushing boundaries. At CLOCK, we are incredibly proud of our global community of sector experts and mentors, professionals who bring a wealth of diverse industry experience and a passion for continuous growth. Our Sector Expert Bootcamp is designed to challenge these leaders, helping them refine their skills and view their industries through a brand-new lens.
Today, we are excited to spotlight one of our remarkable global community members, Will Fenton, exploring how the programme transformed not just their professional output, but their entire outlook on their career. But first, here’s a little introduction from Will.

My name is Will Fenton, I’m a sound engineer and backline technician by trade. Touring the world with pop acts through my 20s in the early 2000s, this later led to a career in technology, and operations management for large music industry entities. I went freelance again in 2015 and now work as a consultant, production / project manager, and Tech Entrepreneur specialising in the live music and events sector.

Unlocking Global Industry Innovation
With such a rich background in his field, it’s clear that Will already possesses an incredible depth of knowledge before he even stepped through our doors. However, the true value of the Bootcamp lies in its power to unlock hidden potential and reframe existing expertise.
To give you a firsthand look at what this journey actually feels like, we sat down with Will to discuss his motivations for joining the programme, the unexpected personal breakthroughs he experienced along the way, and the wisdom he would pass on to the next cohorts.
Here are Will’s thoughts on the CLOCK Sector Expert Bootcamp…
Why did you decide to join the Sector Expert Bootcamp?
“I did a bootcamp for a company looking to build a professional training program for sale to external clients in live music. They wanted to look at the clock system of learning to underpin those qualifications. So I approached it entirely as an academic development exercise.”
What surprised you most about the programme or about yourself during the process?
“The nature of the reflective processes embedded in the program completely squashed a long term case of imposter syndrome I’d had. It rewired the way I was approaching my work from view of professionalising my activities and forced me to examine the wider economic and social context of the way I was working, I didn’t expect it to have such a profound effect on my thinking.”
What advice would you give to someone who is thinking of joining the programme?
“Trust the process. Before I undertook this kind of deeply reflective study I hadn’t realised how counter intuitive the world of work can be.”
We want to extend a massive thank you to Will for sharing his incredible journey and insights with us. Will’s story is a powerful reminder of how leaning into reflective learning can break down long held professional barriers, like imposter syndrome, and open up entirely new ways of thinking. We are deeply grateful for his dedication to the community and willingness to guide the next generation of industry leaders.
To everyone inspired by this journey: The process is there to support you, all you have to do is trust it.
